Janmashtami Celebration
August 12, 2020

"An important day is remembered by a child only when they understand the significance of the occasion."

Celebrating festivals and events at Gurukul is an integral part of learning upholding the motto of 'Modernity with Tradition'.

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, our innocent and ever excited Gurukulites of Nursery and KG assembled on a virtual platform which was heartwarming and mesmerising.

Children danced beautifully and confidently on songs dedicated to Sri Krishna. Our little stars also saw a Power Point presentation to understand how we decorate our schools and places and make beautiful tableaux. They heard about Kanha's childhood activities. Our tiny tots were dressed up as beautiful Radha and cute Krishna which gave a traditional touch to the entire celebration.

Thus, this event helped our children to build their social, emotional and language skills.
It was an interesting and a thrilling experience for the children as they could share their feelings about the object or the creation with their peers which provided fun and comfortable learning arena for everyone involved

BLUE GOLD: Annual Day

The Annual Show – Blue Gold presented by the students of Grade I to V gave an important message to all – Save Water’s Fate. Blue Gold was and ensemble of creativity, confidence, energy and an immensely valuable thought of ‘saving water’. The show began with a splash vibrant colours showing the ‘Expressions of Nature’ staged under the UV lights by the students of Grade II. The folk dance ‘O Nadi’ depicted gratitude to the rivers for nourishing our motherland. The most riveting performance which took the heart of the audience was the skit ‘Shahi Khazana’ which besides giving the message of saving water was most applauded for the theatrical skills of the students. This was followed by ballet dance, a treat to eyes and a display of immaculate coordination, which very intensely depicted that it will be too late if we don’t act now. Next was a Qwwaali presented by the students of Grade I that drew everybody’s attention through an enlightening satire to expose and create awareness about water wastage around us. Making the audience aware about the need of saving ‘Virtual Water’ was the ‘The Gurukul Talk Show’ that informed the audience about the need of wasting less to save Virtual Water. It left everyone awestruck with the display of oratory skills of young Gurukulites. The show culminated with Grand Finale, a dance, which gave hope of returning to the days of abundance and happiness found in the lap of nature. The whole mission of ‘Blue Gold’ translated our Vision of ‘Educating the Child and Influencing the Home’ into reality when our Gurukulites turned into ‘Water Heroes’ and involved their families too in the drive of saving water.
